series of black basalt rocks, the falls plunge into the cool rainforest
gorge below. The lookout provides spectacular views
of the gorge &
beyond to the Obi Obi Valley. This glorious National Park protects a
remnant patch of forest that once covered much of the Blackall &
Conondale Ranges. Though only 26 ha it is home to hundreds of plant,
animal & bird species,

GREAT WALKS SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND
On the doorstep of Mapleton Falls Accommodation. A world-class, eco friendly walking track exploring 58 kms of National Parks, Forest Reserves & Conservation Parks,
Discover rugged, scarred landscapes, old growth forests, tropical rainforests, rushing waterfalls, abundant bird & wildlife.Sections of the walk range from an easy 15 minutes
to a more difficult 7 hours. Visitors can access the walk at various starting points.
Some walks provide wheelchair access. Passenger Drop-off to local ‘Great Walks’
can be arranged.
